Introduction

Contact Exporter can backup or export your SIM card phone book, phone address book into plain text file saved at your storage memory card or phone memory without Outlook. It runs on Windows Mobile 2003, Windows Mobile 2003 SE and WM5, Smartphone or Pocket PC with ARMV4 processor.

Exported text file can be easily imported into Excel or Access and other database. Read or edit by any other text reader or editor. And even possible for send email of SIM card phone book to others.

User can setup export file location, in memory storage card or in phone memory. Setup export file name. Choose optional fields to be exported. Optionally change fields separate characters.

Demo version only export up to 10 SIM card and 10 phone contacts(total 20). No installer is provided and only one excutable file is provided, you can use your file explorer to launch it.

Full version is affordably sale at 5 USD. An installer was provided which you can install and uninstall lately if you do not want to use it anymore. User could optionally install the application into storage memory card which save your precious phone memory.

Full version can export all the contacts. Once purchased, full version will be send by email within two business day. No register code is need.

1.How to backup and restore my contact database

Answer: You don't need any software to backup or restore the contact database. Windows mobile save all contacts in the file of \Storage\pim.vol (WM5) OR \Storage\mixip_initdb.vol(WM2003),So to backup is just backup this file. Use File Explorer inside ActiveSync, normally you can not copy this file out because the file is used by the system or means locked, but you can rename it, rename pim.vol to pimback.vol and power off and power on the device, you can see now device create a new pim.vol and pimback.vol still exists. So pim.vol is the empty template PIM database, and pimback.vol is all your backup contact database. To restore just rename current pim.vol, and replace with your backup database pimback.vol to pim.vol and power off/on. Please be noticed that this solution is not guarantee to work between two different device or OS version.

Answer: Open the txt file you exported with Excel, press "Next", untill end, Excel will recognize and convert to Excel without any troubles.
