Introduction

  • New!! SMS Exporter V2.1 is available, this version fix some problem of, on some PPC phone version, the send message did not export the destination phone numbers.

  • SMS Exporter archive or export your text SMS messages into a single text file. All the folders inside SMS include Inbox, OutBox, Drafts, Sent Items and Deleted Items are exported. Text file can be saved at storage memory card or phone memory. And can be copy out from device or viewed by any text reader. SMS Exporter runs on Windows Mobile 2003, Windows Mobile 2003 SE and WM5, Smartphone or Pocket PC with ARMV4 processor.

  • User can setup export file location, in memory storage card or in phone memory. Change export file name.

  • Trial version only export up to 5 messages for every folder. By purchase the register code, it can be unlock to full version. An installer was provided which you can install and uninstall lately if you do not want to use it anymore. User could optionally install the application into storage memory card which save your precious phone memory.

  • 1.I got a beep when input register number and can no not input the register number

    • A: The register code for SMS Exporter is an 8 digital number. To avoid user mistakenly input text, we have limit the register code input box to receive number only and refuse text. But this cause problem in QWERTY keyboard device, as we know at the moment these device are: Moto Q, Samsung H320 and T-Mobile Dash. If you have this problem also, please download and install the latest version instead.

  • 2.How could I backup and restore all my SMS?

    • A: You don't need any software to backup or restore the SMS database. Windows mobile save all SMS messages in the file of \Storage\cemail.vol. So to backup is just backup this file. Use File Explorer inside ActiveSync, normally you can not copy this file out because the file is used by the system or means locked, but you can rename it, rename cemail.vol to cemailback.vol and power off and power on the device, you can see now device create a new cemail.vol and cemailback.vol still exists. So cemail.vol is the empty template SMS database, and cemailback.vol is all your backup SMS. To restore just rename current cemail.vol, and replace with your backup database cemailback.vol to cemail.vol and power off/on. Please be noticed that this solution is not guarantee to work between two different device or OS version.

  • 3.After I press Export button, there seems nothing exported or nothing happen?

    • A: Please make sure your storage card or memory card is not Locked or Write protected, SMS Exporter does not prompt an error message when it was.
